How Much Are Your Photos Worth?
May 4, 2006: Let’s say you’re lucky enough that a magazine wants to run one of your pictures, or an advertiser wants to buy it. Would you know how much to charge?
This site, The Stock Photo Price Calculator, proposes to help you figure it out. You input the intended use of the photo - editorial, advertising, or corporate, the size that the picture will be run (half page, full page, etc), and the intended size of the distribution (how many readers/viewers the publication has). After you input these variables, the page displays the high, low and average prices that photographers would charge for that purpose.
I could imagine this site would be helpful if I ever sell a picture, but in the meantime, its fun to play with - give it a try!

I just started listening to your digital photography podcasts and I think that they are great. I work for a photographer who thinks he knows everything, so it is nice to hear some information from a different point of view!
