Want a Canon? Check these rebates.
January 13, 2007: If you’ve been thinking about a Canon camera or lens, don’t overlook these rebates.
You can get $200 back on a 30D or $600 back on a 5D! At that price, I’m tempted.
However, I would strongly caution you to make copies of everything you submit with your rebate claim. In all my years of filing for rebates (and I buy a lot tech toys) Canon is the only company that I ever had to fight with to get a legitimately deserved rebate.
Luckily, I had the backups to support my claim, but without them, I would never have seen my money. Buyer beware.

The Cash In With Canon rebate offer has been extended until February 19th.
I bought a 30D and a Canon lens before Christmas and sent in my rebate info. I checked on it today and you have to do a little navigating, but you can check the status of your rebate.
To do this go to: http://www.usa.canon.com, then select CONSUMER from the SUPPORT drop down menu. Next, click on the PROMOTIONS tab.
Under the Cash In With Canon promotion, there is a place to click and pre-qualify your rebate (which I did before sending in) and you’ll want to click that little link.
Then, click Pre-Qualify Your Rebate and there will be a link at the top of that page to Check Your Rebate Status.
Thankfully, mine has been processed. Just waiting for it to be mailed now. I thought I’d put up this info because it took me quite a while to find where to check on mine.
