Scott,

I'm sorry to hear about your son Sasha, I wish your family well.

I was listening to your podcast and have some ideas for repairing your drive. Many times its the drive controller, the circuit board on the drive. Sometimes you can buy the exact same model drive, and take the board off the new drive and replace the one on the bad drive. This is often significantly cheaper than a recovery service.

Additionally because of the raid, an external enclosure will not work to recover the data because of the striping.

I can look up some resources if you are interested.

Scott and Michael,

Your dedication to your show is amazing. Had my child been going through something like this, my blog would not have even been on my radar! In any case, please keep us posted as you are in our thoughts and prayers here. (I sent out some good vibes via my blog today for you too...so hopefully you'll get a lot of good vibes coming at you from the Southeast!) We had a dear family friend who suffered from Cerebral Palsy too, and know how tough things can get when dealing with these things. Kind of puts life and the hobby of photography in perspective, so please take care and know your fans are thinking and praying for you! God bless you both!

Scott,

I tried to write this last week but I'm sorry to hear about your son. I hope and pray that he will be in that 10%. Thanks for letting us into your lives.

This is what makes podcasting such a great media, much better than radio. Glad to hear things are now coming along good. God Bless!
