The sound was sooooooo much better, a very nice upgrade. Keep up the good work.

I must say I totally agree with what you had to say about the selectable focus points, I like to select either far right or left and when I upgraded from a Rebel to a 5D I was disappointed to see how close these points were to the center. The low end Rebel was better. That said the improvements of this camera clearly outweigh this weakness.

Having gone from APC to full frame I suspect the reason for the loader noise is the larger mirror and you quickly get over it although people do react to it.

Great show, guys. This was the first show I listened to (last week's was my second one, since I liked this one so much that I had to go find more).

So far, IMHO, you guys hit the sweet spot in terms of discussing interesting topics that are useful to your average prosumer - not your average consumer buying their first camera. Keep it sharp and sophisticated, I say!

Hi Joe,

I finally listened to the show. It is nice to sound clear, rather than just the guy in the phone. I have to agree that I sounded a bit too mellow. It had nothing to do with the audio, and everything to do with me and my mood at the time. I'll keep it mind.

I know we have discussed lenses at times. It is a pretty big topic. I am sure we'd be happy to discuss it again, especially with new lenses being introduced.

We'd love for you (or anyone) to call and leave messages with specific questions about lenses (or whatever) on our skype line. We'll play your message and address it on the show.

Hi all:

Loved the interview with Jeff Revell. He is knowledgeable -- in an accessible kind of way -- and enthusiastic. Would love to hear him on again. Unlike most commenters, I'm not wild about the new Michael audio set up. Maybe its just because I'm used to the old set up. In any event, it makes Michael sound reallllly mellow. Finally, my thoughts for an upcoming show: a show about lenses. We hear about the camera bodies all the time; how about hearing about the lenses and why you use a particular focal length and aperture for a given situation (e.g., when would you use a 50mm fixed focal length prime as opposed to a 28-70mm zoom?)

Michael sounds much more like he does in person. Maybe this is only me but I can still hear Scott...ha ha. I do not want to pitch in to help because if you all remember the story Scott was in the apple store and returned the Mac -pay attention. Scott doesn't deserve a Mac let alone use an iPhone. That's right Scott I'm outing you.

On a serious note does anyone think that HDR is here to stay. Is HDR a possible fad that will be identifiable to this time period we are in? It is the work of software that makes it look different more so than the talent of the photographer. Not that the photographer is not talented to see the picture. I love the results but maybe the images would best stand out on there own without the HDR "gimmick". I am on the fence.

Hey,
I'm in for the tip jar.. Lets not have this die a quite death.. With all of TDPS listeners out there, it won't take anytime to get the funds together.

Also, like the others have said.. Great audio.

Later dudes..

Michael sounds great!! What a great interview with Jeff Revell. I am a big fan of his blog. I am hoping to get a photowalk club in Gainesville, Florida. Contact me if anyone is in the North Central Florida Area that wants to start one!

Very enjoyable show guy (as always). I really enjoyed listening to Jeff and have added his blog to my reading.

Photowalking pretty much describes my whole style of photography and I'm glad it is getting so much attention.

And Michael sounds like a completely different person! Trippy. :-)

The interview with Jeff Revell was excellent. I think I would like to organize a photowalk in my local community.

Keep up the good work

Hey guys! Michael does sound a whole lot better.

I must say, I'm so happy to hear more people getting excited about photowalking.

I've been working so hard to teach people about it, and now I'm hearing other people spread the word. And that's a great thing!

Way to go guys! And way to go Jeff!

Hey Scott and Michael,

The sound quality of Michaels voice was noticably better this go around. Jeff's interview was very cool - very informative on the HDR and photo walk scenes. I've now added his blog to my list of "must reads" now too! It was also especially meaningful as his thoughts on photo walks and how to make them successful kind of validated the thoughts I had on photo walks too. In case anyone else is interested in that, the written version I did back on Feb. 21st can be downloaded here:

<a href="http://www.canonblogger.com/podpress_trac/web/197/0/PhotoWalks.pdf" rel="nofollow">Top Ten Photo Walk Tips</a>

Will be bummed particularly now for the next week or so while you are on vacation, but have a good time anyway! Enjoy that Mark III, and tell us all about the rest of your experiences with it when you get back! Have a great time and Happy shooting! :)

It seems to me if each of us put $1. in Scott's tip jar, he could get himself a new Mac computer and produce the enhanced AAC version which would benefit all of us. For everything Scott and Michael do for this community, I think we owe it to them to support this investment in a great podcast.

Now all you guys have to do is post a tip jar on your web page.

Come on Gang, let's support the guys (do I sound like Mickey Rooney in the Andy Hardy series?)...(did I just date myself?).

Hi Scott & Michael,

Just wanted to check in here from Boston; I attended Apple's Aperture 2 Tour event held today at the Sheraton Boston. This is a free event and more are being held throughout the country and the price is right! FREE!!

The presentations and demos of Aperture 2 were well done and there are a couple of features I wish Lightroom had. I don't think I will be switching, especially since I didn't win either of the two copies of Aperture they gave away! I also think Adobe and Apple will probably be leapfrogging each other with respect to these two programs.

The best part of the event was a discussion and demo by pro photographer David Bergman. He is a freelance photographer who does a lot of work for Sports Illustrated and Rolling Stone Magazines. He went through his workflow process using Aperture 2 for a rock band shoot he did for a friend last night in NYC. I t was amazing to watch him rate 145 photos in real time and end up 2 keepers!!

Hi Scott & Michael,

Just wanted to check in here from Boston; I attended Apple’s Aperture 2 Tour event held today at the Sheraton Boston. This is a free event and more are being held throughout the country and the price is right! FREE!!

The presentations and demos of Aperture 2 were well done and there are a couple of features I wish Lightroom had. I don’t think I will be switching, especially since I didn’t win either of the two copies of Aperture they gave away! I also think Adobe and Apple will probably be leapfrogging each other with respect to these two programs.
