Hi - guys great show. I loved the interview, I went to Camera Dojo another great web page full of information.
I look forward to hearing what people have to say about the photo club. Michael has stepped up and I thank him for that. The other club members that have the knowledge don’t seem to. As with your show, he shares what he knows with the people who are still learning. The two of us that are learning have gotten something every time he talked.

Hi. I usually love your show, but got a little PO-ed listening today when you were talking about the Sony A900. Scott’s apparently formed a pretty strong opinion about the camera based on one CNET person’s two minute “review.”
Maybe you have already, but just spending an extra 5 or 10 minutes looking for other accounts of the A900 might have informed your opinion a little better. Dpreview did a good preview on Sept. 9, so you could at least know more about the feature set: http://www.dpreview.com/previews/sonydslra900/. But Image-resource did a full review also posted on 9/9, and the reviewer there is pretty positive about the image quality: http://www.imaging-resource.com/PRODS/AA900/AA900A.HTM
But, I was almost embarrassed for you later in the show when you talked about how the new Panasonic FZ28 has a Zeiss lens. In describing how good they are, you apparently didn’t know that Zeiss already makes lenses — auto focus lenses — for…Sony. (http://www.sonystyle.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?catalogId=10551&storeId=10151&langId=-1&categoryId=8198552921644548355). Did you see the little blue logo on that nice lens the CNET reviewer was using? It’s a Zeiss.
Anyway, that’s my rant. I like your show, which made what I’ve heard so far of #97 especially frustrating.

Heard the review of the Panasonic FZ28 and my ears pricked-up… I use the Panasonic FZ30 and want to up-grade, but haven’t found the perfect camera. And the FZ28 seems to not have a articulated LCD, which I’m wedded to.
When you said the Panasonic FZ28 had a Zeiss lens, I was suspicious… and in fact it’s a Leica lens… supposedly, there’s a Leica rep in the Panasonic plant putting a stamp of approval on all lens with the Leica label.

Hey Scott, I’m with Andy on this. The Sony a900 review should have some factual information. You guys need to realize that with thousands of subscribers, people actually take what you say seriously. Go back and listen to your own comments about the recent NY Times review that you thought was too subjective. At least Michael pointed out that the c-net review was not very complete and that he’s withholding judgment for the time being. Your response to him was yeah, but lets speculate on how Sony is going to fall flat on their face.
If this is going to turn into a gossip column, maybe my time will be better spent listening to other podcasts. At least you aren’t trying to get nominated in the Education category.
